There are several object conditions in LSD: Dream Emulator that are considered to be the rare events.[1][2] Rare events usually represent an unusual object behavior / spawn quantity which is normally difficult to trigger on purpose. This page contains all the confirmed rare events with data analysys data and possible methods to achieve the required conditions for the rare event to trigger.
Rare Chart Conditions and Events[]
The Astronaut's Landing Event[]
On rare occasions, the Floating Astronaut from the Bright Moon Cottage may change its regular behavior of flying back and forth in the sky to a sudden descent to the bar. This allows the player to link with the object to the Black Space. The event occurs when the current chart marker is placed within the [x=4~9, y=3~9] range (see the image provided), and stays there at the moment the Astronaut spawns.
This event is only possible during B-type days of the game, and only once per dream, during the first and only Astronaut's spawn. The event is impossible to trigger if the dream had started already in the Bright Moon Cottage and if the Astronaut is already far away from the roof. The event will be triggered immediately, if the required chart conditions are reached and remained during the Astronaut's spawn.
For images, the complete footage of this event and details about the event, view the Astronaut's main wiki page.
The Flying Train Event[]
The slow train in Happy Town is able to stop near the Opera Singer's pillar and then to fly up. The required chart conditions are identical to the Astronaut's Landing Event: [x=4~9, y=3~9] range on the background chart.
When the train is generated, it is impossible to predict, whether the rare event is going to trigger or not, unless the given dream generation is already known to the player. Notably, the guaranteed method to trigger this and a group of Opera Singers spawn simultaneously has been recently found on a standart generation of Day 001. A brief guide video will be attached later.
Opera Singers Group Spawn[]
Normally, there is only one Opera Singer standing on the pillar and singing, producing the distinctive choir sound. During the rare event, four opera singers appear on the ground by the same pillar, also singing. The required background chart conditions are almost identical to the previous two rare event chart conditions, with the only cell row difference; the required chart range is [x=4~9, y=4~9], which occupies the whole pink link zone of the background chart (see image provided).
As it was stated before, a simple chain of actions has been found in standart generation of Day 001 which guarantees the activation of this rare event in the combination with the rare flying train event.
A Buddha Statue Kyoto Parade Event[]
One of the rarest currently known events in the game. When the event is triggered, a line of four Buddha Statues appear walking through the central street of Kyoto, only during A-type days of the game. The required chart conditions is a single activator cell: [-4, 3], which makes this event extremely difficult and rare to encounter during the normal playthrough.
View the main Buddha Statues wiki page for images and more details.
Unusual Fetuses Spawn Event[]
During the rare event, an unusually large group of Fetuses appear in the Flesh Tunnels, running in different directions. The required chart conditions are also different from other events and unique: this particular event trigger is controlled by the object influence chart, not the regular, total current chart. This makes it a little bit easier to achieve on purpose. The required chain of actions for a guaranteed event trigger has been recently found on Day 001, though with certain generation inconveniences: the target generation contains an agressive sumo wrestler, which trigger is unavoidable. It means that the sumo wrestler will eventually leave the ring and chase the player through the tunnels, forcing the static link out from the Flesh Tunnels, limiting the time to observe the rare event of Fetuses.
The required object influence chart conditions are [-3~3, 8~9] - the activation zone occupies two top cell rows of the blue link zone of the Background Chart (see image provided).
