LSD: Dream Emulator Wiki

Pit & Temple is a location in LSD: Dream Emulator. It is a small walled-off area that mostly consists of grassland and rocky pathways. In the middle, there is a large square pit which can be used to end the dream immediately by falling into it. This pit is where a Flying Elephant may float away into the sky above.

There are two exits from this location: the plainer-looking exit leads to The Natural World, and the "temple" (with three faces on the top) leads to the Flesh Tunnels. Though there is not much at this location, the Pit & Temple is very useful for providing quick access to other areas, and the pit itself allows for the option to quickly end the dream.

The Pit & Temple is one of the main locations displayed on the Map.

Appearance[]

Pit & Temple is a square area with bright green grass and rocky straight paths. Around the area is a wall with trees or foliage atop it with numerous identical statues. There are two exits, a simple rectangular one, and one below a large statue with three heads. The titular pit is a large square abyss in the centre with a rocky edge.

Kanji textures change the grass to yellow with red text and the rocks to a yellow-green with red text. The foliage takes on a similar colour scheme to the rocks.

Downer textures change the grass to a blue and black warped design, the rocks to a red, green and black warped design and the foliage red and green.

Sexual textures change the grass to a green Happy Town styled face, the rocks to rocky, skeletal faces of differing shades. The foliage appears to be missing.

Speculation[]

  • The temple somewhat resembles the Bayon, a Buddhist stone temple with faces carved into the sides of its towers.

Trivia[]

  • With the kanji textures, the ground reads 扉, which means "door" or "opening".
  • Machine translators are likely to mistranslate the original Japanese title of Pit & Temple to just "temple".
  • Community and hackers have discovered that the floor contains some sort of "patterns" to it, perhaps "CDEFGAB".
  • One of this area's music patterns (D) contains a rough representation of the melody from "Come On And" from LSD & Remixes. It can be distinguished in the Ethnova and Electro instrument sets.
  • In music pattern A, a melody from "Fax Factory" can be heard. It is distinguishable in the Ethnova instrument set.
  • All Objects that link in Pit & Temple link back to Pit & Temple.
