The Opera Singer is an unreachable character found in Happy Town, standing on top of the pillar. He is missing his body from the waist up, except for his floating hands, which are wearing white gloves.
When the player is close enough to the pillar, a single opera singer may spawn. While he's present, chorus singing may be heard several times.
Events[]
On rare occasions, a group of opera singers may spawn on the ground, near the same pillar. This happens when the marker of the background chart enters the pink link zone and stays there until the player loads the map chunk with the opera singers pillar. This will activate the rare event, and four opera singers will appear below the said pillar, right next to the railroad track, where the train can stop on very rare occassions. Interestingly, the guaranteed way to trigger both of these events was found on default Day001 generation of the game.
Players cannot link with the Opera Singers on the ground because they have no collision.
The following audio is a sample of what an opera singer sounds like.
Speculation[]
In the Dream Journal, pages 78-79 contain a dream labeled "Just the Bottom Half of an Opera Singer", along with an artist depiction. The story and drawing are very similar to the in-game opera singers.
Also, another rare event near their spawn area consists in the train stopping near the pillar, and then flying up high into the sky. This may symbolise some kind of a "train station" for the opera singers or death (flying up to the heaven with the stereotypical chorus sound of singers).
