Linen in circle form

Linen is the most commonly accepted name for the character which appears on the cover, menus, and surrounding media of and for LSD: Dream Emulator. Osamu Sato himself has never talked about or explained its meaning.

Linen is not an entity present within in LSD: Dream Emulator; it only appears in videos or textures in the game. Linen is used as the apparent mascot for LSD: Dream Emulator, as every product derived from LSD: Dream Emulator such as music albums, music clips, official dream diary & even modern artworks by Osamu Sato feature Linen on them.

Appearance[]

Linen is a bright cartoony yellow creature with upward-curving yellow horns, eyes containing a "hypnotic" alternating pattern of red and blue and a circular red nose. In LSD: Dream Emulator, it is seen assuming different geometrical forms, such as a blockier or more triangular look, as are pictured below. Occasionally, Linen can be seen on different surfaces, such as the Train's "face" in the Downer Textures of Happy Town, as well as on hanging cubes also seen in Happy Town. In certain intro clips of LSD: Dream Emulator Linen is seen assuming its presumably full form, when it resembles a vase or a golden trophy, which may also be a part of unknown symbolism of LSD. Although Linen is used as a mascot for a variety of LSD: Dream Emulator content, its true meaning and official name still remains unsolved.
