Kyoto is an area that resembles, and is likely based on, the real city of Kyoto in Honshu, Japan. Kyoto is a large, traditionally Japanese city which contains many houses, statues and torii, as well as an entrance to the Temple Dojo. On the opposite end of Kyoto to the temple is a gateway to the Natural World. Monument Park resides within Kyoto, only accessible through a tunnel. The wall inside of the tower within Kyoto links to the bottom of Moonlight Tower.
Also within Kyoto is a rocky Zen Garden with black-and-white patterns on the floor, as well as small, fenced-in areas. These have four entryways and house various different objects in them, such as the shrine bell and the hand statue, as well as other statues of a head and foot. They are believed to be Buddha's.
Kyoto is one of the main locations displayed on the map.
Interacting with the old woman found either in one of the houses or on the scaffolding next to the river can sometimes cause everything in Kyoto to stretch upwards. This is the only way to link to Moonlight Tower other than the bunny.
Day Types[]
Kyoto, like many other locations, is affected by the Day Type mechanic, and many objects within Kyoto vary by Day Type. These day types vary as such:
Type A: Contains Geisha, small geisha, minotaurs, Buddha statues near the Moonlight Tower, river Buddha statues and Rickshaw minotaur. Does not contain tengu, the old woman, giant geishas, giant minotaur or the giant baby head.
Type B: Contains tengu, giant geisha, giant minotaur and the old woman, peacocks and the giant baby head. Does not contain Rickshaw minotaur, river Buddha statues, average-sized geisha, average minotaur and small geisha. Only one Buddha statue will appear in this state.
