Doubleface is a short human-faced head-like creature with short brown arms and legs, and empty pitch-black eyes. In SPDAY10E text dream, this creature is described as 'an old youkai who lives in Meigetsu-So Appartment'.
The way they actually face can only be determined by the orientation of their limbs. The faces display the features of what appears to be an elderly man, distinguishing them from the Giant Head and Fetuses found in other areas of LSD: Dream Emulator. They can only be found on the ground floor of the Bright Moon Cottage, in the bar and the cottage's front yard.
Doublefaces spawn as soon as the player appears in the Bright Moon Cottage. All of them disappear simultaneously after approximately 1 minute, though the time may differ depending on the performance (emulation speed).
Actions & Spawn Mechanics[]
Doubleface remains stationary until the player approaches them. There are 3 different types of Doublefaces:
1) "Bartender" - Spawns behind the bar counter only during B1 type days and performs one of the two possible actions. When approached, it may unexpectedly stretch upwards, or start "dancing" in one place. The Doubleface's action is being chosen by the generations mechanic.
2) "Careful one" - Appears only during B2 type days. Can be seen merged with "coward" Doubleface in the garden. This one is called so because such Doubleface will move to the exit only when player is doing steps towards him.
3) "Coward" - This type of Doubleface is present during all B-type days. Once noticed, such Doubleface will immediately escape into the Natural World.
Unlike most other objects in LSD, the player does not get linked if a Doubleface runs into you. Other times you cannot link with him regardless, but once successful, you'll get into the Pit & Temple.
Trivia[]
- The earliest day, when you can spot the "Bartender" type Doubleface is Day 008, as first B1 type Day 002 is unplayable.
