The Cover Page of "Lovely Sweet Dream"
It is well known that LSD was based off of a journal written by Hiroko Nishikawa.
This journal was published in very short quantities under the name "Lovely Sweet Dream" and was released on the internet at some point in it's entirety for the public to view. The book provides an in-depth look into some of the objects in the dream, and correlates with many of the metaphors represented in the game, creating a fuller experience; It's also filled with artwork from various artists illustrating the dreams, each of them mimicking imagery found in-game in their own creative way.
